It may be the season of giving back and kind spirits, but that doesn’t mean this feeling of goodwill needs to stop after the year ends. Tech companies in particular are in an excellent position to give back to the greater community, either by donating funds (through gift-matching or simply donating a portion of sales to a charitable organization), or by allowing employees volunteer their skills for non-profit organizations that may not have the resources to hire qualified programmers and marketing staff.
Due CMO Angela Ruth recommends the latter option – “Not only do they get a chance to contribute to a cause, they also learn valuable insights and fresh perspectives that they can use to improve the way they work.”
