“Making money isn’t hard in itself, what’s hard is to earn it doing something worth devoting your life to.”
– Carlos Ruiz Zafón
When people make their life about making $tack$ and getting paper, it means that they are lacking something substantial and clinging onto a prescription written out by our capitalist overlords. Finding a job and watching the digits scrolling up in your bank account is taxing, but not hard.
But when people make their lives about trying very hard at something they love to do, something that gives them drive, fuels their passion, or helps others, or otherwise makes them happy, and are intent on making enough money from it to be able to keep doing it… well, that’s hard.
