Greece Invoicing Numbers

Updated on May 27th, 2022

We’ve had multiple people reach out over the past week about getting paid in Greece due to the banks not allowing our customers to pull their money out of the bank.

We’d had many customers ask us to hold it in their bank account and then distribute it to them in different ways. We would love to help out but their are laws that we have to abide by and we can’t hold money or change it hands. However, many customer have been switching to “Paypal” only payments and then transferring the money to other accounts. This is an option available to anyone. Just go to payments and only allow Paypal payments.

Something interesting to note. On average each month we have around 1400 invoices sent from Greece to other businesses, freelancers, and business owners. Over the past two weeks we’ve only had around 120 with payment option available. All other invoices that were sent did not have payment option available. Special note that only 8% of those invoices paid, compared to the 84% (within 30 days). We still have 14 more days but it’s not looking as promising.
