101 Discounts for College Students

discounts for college students

As you are already aware — attending college isn’t cheap. Obviously, the main reason is the growing cost of tuition each year. According to a report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the average tuition at four-year public colleges has increased in all 50 states. On average, tuition has surged by 37 percent, with net costs rising by 24 percent. Here are 101 discounts for college students.

As a result of the overwhelming student costs — both the student and their parents are beyond-stressed-out over money. And it’s likely to be much worse on the heels of the COVID-19 surrounding us. How bad is it? Well, according to a national survey conducted by Ohio State, seven out of ten students are worried about their finances.

“Nearly 60 percent [of respondents] said they worry about having enough money to pay for school, while half are concerned about paying their monthly expenses,” said [study co-author] Anne McDaniel. “32 percent of students reported neglecting their studies at least sometimes because of the money they owed.”

More alarming were the findings published in the “Hungry and Homeless in College” report. It stated that food insecurity ranges from 20 to 40 percent of students. While homelessness impacted roughly 13 percent of community college students.

In short, college students can use any financial assistance that’s available to them, such as the following X discounts. Will a few discounts resolve all financial struggles? No. But, as the adage goes, anything is better than nothing, and I’m hoping you’ll sign up for, apply, and take advantage of the generosity of the following businesses.
