Zig Ziglar - Big TVs vs. Big Libraries

“Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs.”

-Zig Ziglar

You’d be surprised at the absolute wealth of knowledge books have to offer. Even those of the outdated, weathered, falling apart from use, non-“techie”, dust bunny collecting variety. I love the TV show South Park, and in one of the episodes, Cartman, a 4th grade child wants to become poor, he does so by going out and spending “money he doesn’t have” with “0% financing cards”. He buys all manner of items, including a large TV in his quest to be poor.

I have wasted soooo many days sitting, zombie faced, in front of the TV, when I could have been improving myself. But that’s the point, we all have wasted time in front of the TV! Wouldn’t we rather be out there making money? Let’s trade in the TVs for a shelf of books.
