“You can be happy with money and you can be wretched with it. It depends on what kind of person you are.”
– Taylor Caldwell
It’s often said that money can’t buy people happiness, but for some people, money is the same thing as happiness. It can be synonymous with security, comfort, and status, and that’s a lot. For others, money is a hollow symbol, or a convenient byproduct of doing the thing you love and putting in the hours for it. And still, there are those who are trapped by it, who maybe have it and don’t know what to do with it. Money means a lot to a lot of people, but it always signifies different things to different kinds of people. When you strongly hold your definition of money as an end-all, be-all, then you run the risk of alienating a lot of people.
