“What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?”
– Robert Schuller
Fear and laziness are perhaps the two leading contributors to ideas not panning out. Of the two, fear is the most dangerous. After all, laziness just gives you excuses for not doing anything, reassures you that there’s always time later. Fear, on the other hand, grips you from the very core, fools you into looking at a dysmorphic version of your worth, and whispers your deepest, darkest fears right back into your ear. But what we could get done without this demon at our shoulder! What boundaries would we break, which possibilities are out there that don’t even exist yet? What if we flew to the highest branch without a dumb, tiny, squashable voice in our ear warning us how much it would hurt if we fell? What if we fell anyway, would we be able to pick ourselves up and try again, if the fear inside each of us didn’t exist? What would you do if you weren’t afraid of failure?
