“If you live for having it all, what you have is never enough.” – Vicki Robin
Often times we fall into the habit of only focusing on what we don’t have, and we forget about the things we do have. One of the foundational elements of economics is scarcity; people have unlimited wants in a world with limited resources.
No matter how much someone has, our wants are unlimited.
- For someone who earns $60 thousand a year, they may want a new car.
- For one earning $60 million, they may want a new jet.
- And if you have $12 billion, you may want a new space rocket (yes, I’m talking about you, Elon Musk).
The point is that it doesn’t matter how much we have, because we can always want more. So take some time and consider all of the wonderful things that surround you that make life worth living.
