The Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) recently asked 12 successful entrepreneurs ways to land your first customer. Among them was Due’s former President Murray Newlands who related that he landed his first customer by putting the time into going out into the field and introducing himself to businesses in the local area, sharing how they might help them.

Other ways that these successful entrepreneurs landed their first customers included using online advertising and Google AdWords, spotting opportunities, maintaining previous business relationships, reaching out to friends and family for leads, looking locally and even searching on Craigslist.
