According to members of the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC), including Due’s Marketing Manager Angela Ruth, there are at least nine ways to make more confident decisions rather than spending time overthinking a situation.
According to Angela, it’s important to set an allotted time in which to make a decision. This is a mental timer that provides a period of time of no more than four hours to make the decision. In that time, the pros and cons can be weighed, information can be reviewed, and others can even be consulted.
Other ways to make confident decisions include avoiding analysis paralysis, taking the lean startup approach, using the 10-10-10 method, writing your thoughts down, listing pros and cons, hitting the history books, asking a colleague or friend and going with your gut.
