Small Biz Technology shared 10 responses from Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) members about the best solutions for updating your company’s data security.

Among the responses was Due Founder and CEO John Rampton who said it was critical to implement security policies that outline all actions like two-factor methods and complex passwords as well as educating employees on things like never sending password information via email. By having a formal security policy in place, everyone knows what to do and how to do it. Other YEC members noted things like keeping disks clean, adding two-factor authentication, and getting rid of shared passwords and accounts.

While companies are concerned about hackers and compromised security, they are also recognizing the value of potentially hiring or consulting with a hacker to learn more about what they can do in terms of data security.
