In a sense, it is very hard in this day and age to get around and do the things we want without a certain amount of money. The system that we as a society have built rewards people who can always balance the question of money with the habits and desires of humans. As a result, we have almost everything we could ever want, all on our iPhones, all within our reach. But it’s this same constructed system which leads people to go against their morals, take advantage of the less fortunate, and obsess over meaningless tasks for the sake of money. Money and the expectations we set upon ourselves as consumers of North America traps us in a cycle and makes it hard for us to get out. Is this freedom? Those who are wise will find a balance, and a different way of living.
