“If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free. If our wealth commands us, we shall be poor indeed.”
-Edmund Burke
I think we’ve all had at least one time in our lives where wealth has ruled us. Paying interest on the credit card can be an unfortunate side effect of the seemingly never ending debt cycle that many find themselves in today.
Here’s the solution:
Stop spending on the credit card! I’m not saying to starve yourself or deny yourself basic human needs. If the credit card is all you have to achieve basic necessities, then it may take you a little longer to get back to homeostasis.
My point is to make small changes here or there, if you can afford to stop credit card spending altogether, do so, but if not, make small but backs here or there to eliminate the hypothetical interest noose around your neck. Making those small cut backs on spending will allow you to take charge of your debt, and command your own wealth.
