James Cameron – Set Your Goals Ridiculously High
“If you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will fail above everyone else’s success.”
– James Cameron
It’s clear from his movies and from his hobbies that James Cameron is someone who sets his goals ridiculously high. He he is a director with the two highest-grossing films of all time (Titanic and Avatar) under his belt, a deep-sea explorer who is the only one to have explored the deepest part of the Mariana Trench solo, a member of the NASA advisory board, and an environmentalist with a sustainable winery in British Columbia. His goals started early on his life: after university, he took on a number of odd jobs, including one driving a truck, but in his spare time, he taught himself about special effects and film technology. The rest is all passion and devotion – a man who is singularly obsessed with his own impossible goals, if he fails, he will be above the rest of us. There are many things we can learn from James Cameron.
