If you have made major changes, schedule events or an appearance, or just have an announcement to make that may help your audience in some way, you want to offer exclusivity and make sure they are the first to hear the news.

Depending on your brand, personal stories may be a must for your emails. It’s one of the best and easiest ways to set you apart from others and increase your open rates seeing as how people receive tons of email daily. It also makes it easier to come up with a catchy headline for your email.

People love reading about overcoming obstacles and common struggles because it’s relatable and inspiring. If you can open up a little and be vulnerable in that way, it could really benefit your business and allow you to come off as more authentic.

If you’re not interested in sharing too many personal experiences and stories, consider sharing some case studies and asking other people you’ve helped in your line of work to share their stories with your email list.

4. Promotions.

Once you build your email list, you’ll want to share promotions for your products and services from time to time. Having an email list is a great way to increase your profits because you already have a connected audience.

Some people say your email subscribers are worth at least $1-2 in revenue each so you’ll definitely want to tap into that profit because your list could be worth even more. You can send emails to notify your audience of new products that may interest them, new clients you’re looking to take on, or even invite them to preorder something or get on a wait list.

You can also do affiliate marketing, share testimonials or answer common questions your subscribers may have before making a purchase.
