“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
Charity can have some of the most impactful influences on our life. It enables us to be conscientious of more than just ourselves. It gives us the ability to notice the world around us with an aware eye that will acknowledge the things in which the average person is oblivious. Giving isn’t only about what it does for others; it is also about what it does for us.
It will in turn influence other aspects of our lives, such as the way in which we interact with those we’re closest to. We will notice when a friend is in trouble because we have risen about the norm of self-absorption and have embraced the feelings and emotions of others as every bit as important as our own.
So next time you pass someone on the street in need, don’t hesitate to give them a helping hand.
