In achieving your financial goals, it’s always good to have a role model. Finding someone who has done what you are trying to accomplish before, will most certainly help you take the quicker path to success. I’ve put together the following list of people I follow hoping they can be as much help for you, as they’ve been for me. The list is a mix of public figures that provide financial advice, online business advice, debt advice, as well as personal motivation. These awesome people come from diverse backgrounds, therefore it’s hard to believe you won’t relate with at least one of them. Whether your a Navy Seal or a work from home father, this list can provide value to your life, if you let it.

ToggleTony Robbins
Tony is known for his high level work in pioneering the life coach industry. He started in the 80’s and achieved national success very quickly. His deep knowledge of human psychology is as impressive as anything I’ve ever seen. To see Robbins live at one of his UPW events (Unleash the Power Within) was a blessing I’ll never forget. Whether it’s a world leader, a professional athlete, or a billionaire, Robbins is still in high demand (and always will be in my opinion). Check out his podcast, as well as the several books he has written.
Pat Flynn
Pat is one of the most well known figures in the podcast and blogging community. Flynn makes waves on the internet from publishing his high dollar monthly income reports, which gives him all the credibility he deserves. In my opinion, there are few podcasts out there that add as much value as he does through his content. If you want to know anything about online business, The Smart Passive Income Podcast archive should be your first stop!
Scott Voelker
Also known as The Amazing Seller, Voelker was one of the first online business podcasts I ever listened to. He’s actually how I heard about Pat Flynn. Voelker teaches you how to make money using Amazon FBA. For those of you who don’t know, Amazon FBA is a way to sell products online while using Amazon’s warehouse to fulfill your orders. Voelker does a great job of keeping tabs on all the changes in the industry, which has proved to be one of the more recent challenges to making money using this option.

Jocko Willink
Jocko Willink has become popular this past year with his creation of The Jocko Podcast. His unique life experience — earned and paid for — while being the Leader or a Navy Seal Team. Willink has a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and gives his show an edge I’ve not found anywhere else. His post military career has been as a business consultant, where he puts his Extreme Ownership methods into action.
Lewis Howes
The School of Greatness is a regular podcast for anyone obsessed with people who have achieved the seemingly impossible. Howes was a professional athlete who at one point was crashing on his sisters couch. His story of rising up to building million dollar business is the reason you should listen. Just this morning was I cracking up at his conversation with Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. If you are interested in learning how the greats became great, follow Lewis Howes.

Dave Ramsey
Mr. Ramsey is renowned for his methods of getting others out of debt. His podcast/live radio show takes callers on air where they divulge their financial situation. Dave’s calmness, quiet confidence, and sometimes brutal honesty guides his callers through their stressful situation. Dave has been in the difficult financial situation himself, and has risen above it, which adds to his credibility along with the thousands of successful clients of his.
Eric Thomas
ET, as he sometimes refers to himself, is one of my favorite motivators. Once homeless on the streets of Detroit, Thomas gained national exposure due to his high level speeches where he tells it like it is. Thomas has written two books, “Greatness is Upon You,” and “Average Skill, Phenomenal Will.” Check out some of his clips on YouTube and you’ll quickly know what he’s about.
These are the people who I turn on in the morning to give me the motivation to tackle the day. I advise that you listen on your drive to work or while you are going for the nightly run. The collective achievement of the names I’ve listed is where we all strive to be. Why not learn a little something from each of them?
