Perhaps the greatest challenge of the truly talented is the motivation to keep doing more, keep producing new and always evolving work, and the hunger towards constant self-improvement. The challenge of the “good enough” is the obligation to continue doing what they’re doing. As a result, the biggest critic of the truly talented is themselves, and the demon peering behind their shoulder is their own self doubt, while the merely promising rely on trends and popular opinion to keep themselves afloat: their demon is cultural relevance.
