Selling your business is not something to be taken lightly. There are so many things to consider before you take that leap. Inc. collected the responses of six Young Entrepreneur Council members on questions to ask yourself before you sell your business, including thoughts from Due Co-Founder and CEO John Rampton. His question to himself was about deciding what he wanted to accomplish next because that would help to determine if this was the right time to sell his business or not. Other questions suggested by YEC members included deciding why you are are selling your business, is this the right buyer for my business, what does this mean for my people, and what is the opportunity cost. Lastly, it is important to consider if you actually accomplished what you wanted because if you haven’t, then you might want to keep going with that business until you do.
