“If you don’t value your time, neither will others. Stop giving away your time and talents. Value what you know & start charging for it.” –Kim Garst

Everybody enjoys being appreciated for his or her talents, so we all have a habit of giving our time and energy to others for free. This is a great practice, but often times it leads to ourselves devaluing our own worth and not realizing our real potential. If you are an amateur photographer and keep getting asked by your friends (and inevitably friends of your friends), then start charging for what you’re good at. If you’re computer savvy and find yourself getting calls by all of your extended family to fix their computers, consider making a business out of it. Turn your hobby into something more and make it work for you.
